Re: Problem with Memory rp2400

Apparently the rp2430 can only handle 2GB of RAM, which is what the error is telling you.

Take out 2 GB and you should be fine. If you need more RAM you may have to upgrade to an rp2450 or rp2470, both of which can handle up to 8GB.

Re: Problem with Memory rp2400

@GB of RAM is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed on this server.

Re: Problem with Memory rp2400

That is correct - 2 GB max for RP2430 aka A400 - need to got to RP2470 for up to 8GB.

Re: Problem with Memory rp2400

What are the specific models of your other servers? I doubt they are rp2430's.

They may be rp2450 or rp2470.

With this machine it is telling you that you are limited to 2GB.

Re: Problem with Memory rp2400

Then you may have firmware issue or something. The plain fact is that the machine is telling you what is wrong. It doesn't like having 4GB of RAM.

I suggest you call HP and enlist their help.

By the way, can you post the output of the 'model' command from your other 2 rp24xx machines?
