RAID SA disk problem
we have RAID SA on RP3400 connected to MSA30. Earlier it was having 7disks and it was working fine. Recently we added 7more disks to the encl. However the new disks arn'tt getting dected by the RAID SA. sometime it shows online. sometimes it shows failed.
I downloaded the firmware and driver(RAID-01_B.11.11.0709_HP-UX_B.11.11_64.depot) from http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot
while installing via swinstall it says sucessful. but the driver and the firmware version remains the same. I tried upgrading the firmware via # sautil /dev/ciss4 download_ctlr_fw CYBORG226.BIN its says incorrect file . I tried downloading the file again but got the same error
Please find the out of sautil attached

Re: RAID SA disk problem
Most likely the file is corrupted.
However, the latest version is 2.84 - get it from the IPF offline diagnostics CD (software.hp.com)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: RAID SA disk problem
Hi Torsten,
Thank You. I tried downloading the files again, Tried swcopy & tar to extract the file from the depot. still getting the same error.
Could some one confirm me on the following
1. Can the current firmware support 14Disks
2. Can the current firmware supports the new disks with HPB6 firmware
3. Can a single IO module(MSA) supports 14 Drives ?
Thanks
Kamal
