Release date of these HP-UX server and Range

Hi

In my environment we are using following HP-UX servers

9000/800/L2000-44
9000/800/rp3440#1
9000/785/J6000
9000/800/N4000-75
9000/800/K580
9000/800/rp4440
9000/785/J6000

I want to know the release year of these servers and in which range these servers comes
(such as "Entry level", "Mid range", "High end servers".) for each HP-UX server.

Re: Release date of these HP-UX server and Range

The J6000 is a workstation, all others are more or less entry level.

The K580 came 1998,
N4000 in 1999,
L2000 in 2000,
rp3440 in 2004,
rp4440 in 2003.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Release date of these HP-UX server and Range

Shalom,

entry level
9000/800/L2000-44
9000/800/rp3440#1
9000/800/rp4440

Workstation obsolete
9000/785/J6000

Mid Range close to end of life.
9000/800/N4000-75

Mid range, pretty much obsolete.
9000/800/K580

There is easily searchable documentation on http://docs.hp.com. Also if you actually have these systems in house there is a date stamp on the system.

Re: Release date of these HP-UX server and Range

Most of what you seek should be in this document:

http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpux11i/downloads/public_hp-ux_systems_support.pdf

The "range" of all these servers would be entry level, though the J6000 is not a server, but a workstation.

Re: Release date of these HP-UX server and Range

To add this - a "range" classification was not used before the cell based systems came out, since then the superdome is high-end, all other cell-based servers are mid-range, all others are entry.

At the time when most of your servers were up to date, the family of T-, X-, S- and V-class servers were high-end.

See an x-class:

Hope this helps!
