Re: rp 4440
i think your question is how many cpu this model could support.
max cpu = 4 x dual core cpu.

Re: rp 4440
Since the cpus are always dual core, just count the cores from ioscan.
Please consider to assign points to all trying to help you.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: rp 4440
Ioscan outputs shows following.
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===================================================================
processor 0 128 processor CLAIMED PROCESSOR Processor
processor 1 129 processor CLAIMED PROCESSOR Processor
processor 2 136 processor CLAIMED PROCESSOR Processor
processor 3 137 processor CLAIMED PROCESSOR Processor
According to this , there are 4 CPUs. But I want to know how many free slots are available in the server.

Re: rp 4440
If we suppose two CPU are installed physically , but those are in inactive mode. Is there a way to check inactive CPUs without shutting down the server?

Re: rp 4440
# echo "selclass qualifier cpu;info;wait;il"|cstm
You will see a result like this per CPU:
Processor State: CPU Present Configured
Monarch: No Active: Yes
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
