Re: rp3410 System Led
To stop the led flashing you will have to read the error logs in the MP logs.
log in to the MP and read the logs with
sl
e
n
read the errors it will give you indication as to why it is flashing, it could be just because you rebooted the system or you could have hardware failure.
if in doubt post the errors from MP for us to look at.
Andy

Re: rp3410 System Led
the information how to setup and use the MP is in the maintenance guide on page 32:
http://docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96003/A7137-96003.pdf
The easiest way is to plug a nullmodem cable to the serial console port off the MP and connect via Hypertem or another terminal application to the MP (default login Admin Admin).
Then follow Andrews suggestions to read the System Event Log.
best regards
Stefan

Re: rp3410 System Led
Thanks for your Help.
next step is to configure MP, so i can connect via Web/ssh.
Now my questions:
To confiure MP , the IP adresse of MP Port and IP of Server has to be in same subnet ?
and the whole configuration ca be done from MP-Menue? do i have to change something from OS ?

Re: rp3410 System Led
you are correct, that you can configure the MP lan interface from the MP menu. From here you can give the MP a hostname and IP.
This doesnt need to be on the same subnet, but one accesible from your machine you want to access it from.
Nothing needs to be done HPUX to enable this to work.
