rp3430 red system LED

rp3430 crashed previously. Now, red system led blinks.
There is no messages in iLO logs.
stm found no errors in equipement.

Could anyone advice how to find a case of red system led or how to shut it down?

Re: rp3430 red system LED

The MP (iLO) will trigger the red LED to be turned on, so there **must** be a related message in the logs.

BTW, it's a HP9000 rp3430 server or what?

# model

will tell you.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: rp3430 red system LED

Reading the MP logs will turn the LED off - please check the logs again to find the reason.

Re: rp3430 red system LED

Hi Maxim,

It seems like you have a hardware fault on the box. You can get rid of LED indication by going to Management processor..

MP> sl ==> Select Option E for event logs and D to dump them on screen.
MP>sl ==> Now select F for Forward Process logs.

Also check

MP>cm
MP:CM>ps

For any powersupply or fan faults.

Now to check the reason for crash from OS check the following logs

1. /var/tombstones

Check the ts99 file with valid timestamp that concurs with the time of system crash.

2. /var/adm/crash

Check for latest crash dump again with latest timestamp.

Attach the MP logs along with ts99 file if generated let me check what best i can do here.

Best Regards,
Prashanth
