RP3440 - Unsupported Card in PCI slot 3 & 4

Re: RP3440 - Unsupported Card in PCI slot 3 & 4

HP won't be able to provide you with the password when you run ss_update. Only authorized hp personnel should have access to it.

We had a similar problem with the idnumber not being set on a few rp7420 boxes. We ran into the same issue with getting a lockword and needing to supply a password. The generated lockword times out after a min. A new lockword would be generated the next time you run the command. An HPCE should come out and perform the task.

You'll have to contact HP to get it resolved. Good luck with it too, seems like it's a pain to get the right resource at HP on the 1st attempt.

Problem solved already?

If not, do this steps (for a brand new spare system board without valid settings):

1) Boot the system to BCH
2) go to service menu
3) type "init"
4) enter model and serial number
5) type "upgrade"
6) input the key certificate written on the chassis label in the front
7) reset the system

Check all values before confirm! This is your one and only try!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
