Anybody know if the memory modules and/or memory module carriers from the 7400 are compatible with the 5470 or an older N4000 ( A3639B )? I've got 16GB ( 32 512MB modules across 4 carriers ) that were pulled from the 7400 as follows:
Carriers: A3699x1 ( 4022 A9992 ) and
A3639x3 ( 4029 A3938 )
Modules: A4923 ( 4029 A3938 )
Thanks,
-klb

Solution
hi,
the part numbers and product numbers are different, but essentially they are the same and will work fine.
The product numbers are A4882A for the N class memory carrier and A6155A for the rp5470 ones.
both these and the memory will work fine in the rp5470, but may not be supported by HP.
Also the max number of carriers is 2 for the RP5470

Re: rp7400 memory to an rp5470
i can confirm the part numbers for both memory dimms in rp7400 and rp5470 are different. you have to try using them at your own risk as the configuration is not supported by hp.

Hi KLB,
My own recommendations do not try to this way, first U communicate with Ur HP local representative, because if Ur product is under warranty (24x7) then U loss Ur warranty. If the product is not cover by warranty & not production mode then U follows ├в Andrew Rutter├в before inform U.
Thanks├в Yaqub
