RP7410 configuration

I have a technical question for some of you...

RP7410 Cell/Coherence Controllers (CC) in each cell use the SBA link to directly connect to IO. It looks to me that cell 0 connects to IO chassis 0 and cell 1 to IO chassis 1. Does this mean if your running only one cell board in your partition (cell 1), you can only access half of your I/O (chassis 1). Then in order to access the rest of your IO (chassis 0), you will need to have two cell boards in place?

Do I totally have this wrong as I'm only going by the diagrams in the manual.

Re: RP7410 configuration

You are right!
Each half is connected to a cell.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: RP7410 configuration

Correct! I just installed another cell board in order to use the other 8 slots i.e cell 1.
