Re: rp8400 875MHz procs

Hi,

We have three rp8400s but we've never seen that before. Of course, we don't have 875Mhz CPUs in them either.

Sounds like maybe a firmware issue, or maybe some setting in the GSP.

You didn't buy them from a guy who also sells used cars did you? ;)

It might be clcok setting problem ,check with HP to set the clock speed to 875 Mhz ,risc processor have the cababilty to downgrade the processor speed ,check print_manifest command to see the current speed

Re: rp8400 875MHz procs

Found the problem there are some dip switch settings that determine the speed
Thanks for the help

Re: rp8400 875MHz procs

What were the dip switch settings to make it work?

Re: rp8400 875MHz procs

So is it a firmware issue or a dip switch issue? Or both?

Hi Houston,

No offense, but you really should start a new thread so Tex isn't saddled with handing out your points.

Re: rp8400 875MHz procs

The Dipswitch settings for 750MHz are:

01011111

875MHz:

00111111

0 = off
1 = on

HTH.
What are the chances...
