Serail Number on cell based compter
Does any one know why the output of command:
getconf _CS_MACHINE_SERIAL
is not same with
parstatus -X | grep "Serial Number"
are not same? The parstatus is reporing correct number, where as first three digits reported by getconf are not correct.
I have tested on RP74XX, RP84XX and Superdome server in our office.

Re: Serail Number on cell based compter
Hi Navin,
It's been my experience that S/N inquries in dual-cabinet SDs always report the #1 cabinet.
That's just is how it is.
Rgds,
Jeff
