Re: strange error message

Instruction cache parity error. Nothing to worry about unless you see them repeatedly.

Re: strange error message

Hi,

these are detected/corrected single-bit erros in the L2-cache. the worst thing they usually mean is a performance loss because the memory pages would have to be refetched.
our techs told us one shouldn't worry unless there were more than 40 in a week, and we've never had close to that until now...

keep an eye on it, if they increase, have the cpu replaced, otherwise don't worry too much.
yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.

Re: strange error message

hi,

LPMC = low priority machine check
cache parity error = processor cache problem

You will probably get these from time to time and is usual if lots of processes are running together.
Unless your getting multiples of these I wouldnt worry but keep an eye on it. They could suddenly increase and cause a HPMC. Then you will need to replace the CPU or system board depending upon the system.
You could always run a test on the cpu in STM just to check and the infolog tool.
