Updating (PDC) Firmware

Anyone have a good link for firware revision listings, ie: version, release date and downloadable firmware code?

Specifically looking for anything pertaining to the old K580 machines.

The machine is currently running 11.11

Any info appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Updating (PDC) Firmware

Here is the latest PDC for a K580 that I could find:

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PF_CBHK4201&context=firmware:cpu

It is version 42.01.

Re: Updating (PDC) Firmware

Hi,
from this site go to patch and firmware database(http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/search.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|&pageContextName=firmware:) , you will find the firmware needed, the last firmware is 42.01 all instructions can be found in the firmware description. Follow the instructions step by step and be carefull cause any wrong step can harm the machine.

Re: Updating (PDC) Firmware

Thanks for the info. Now the next part of this is how (other than rebooting the machine to use the BCH Main to review the info via the "IN" selection) to get the current firmware version. I didn't specifically see any way to do that using the "xstm" version of the Support Tool Manager?

Thanks.

Re: Updating (PDC) Firmware

To check to version:
tape mstm, from what I remember press F2 to accept then mark cpu and then action to get information.

If no fimrware was done before I think the firmware will be 39.

Re: Updating (PDC) Firmware

If you have diagnostics installed you should be able to find current PDC via:

# echo "selclass qualifier cpu ; info ; wait ; infolog" | cstm | grep "PDC Firmware Revision"
