Upgrading SPP2000 to V-Class?

Is it possible to upgrade an Exemplar SPP2000 to an V2600? I can get an HP SPP2000 with PA-8000 180MHz CPUs, and I have a bunch of V2600 Dual CPU Boards with 2xPA-8600 552MHz and V2600 Memory carriers lying around. Is it possible to upgrade the SPP2000 by just swapping the CPUs?

Nope it also requires a backplane replacement. Sorry.

Also different RAM. It sounds like you guys just gave up a dome or other V-Class...

Re: Upgrading SPP2000 to V-Class?

Ok, thanks for clarification. I happen to buy a bunch of V2600 CPUs and RAM carrier together with two V-Class systems (one V2500 and one V2600), and I was offered an old SPP2000 so I thought this can be easily upgraded.

So to what can a SPP2000 be upgraded without swapping the backplane? Are the 200MHz (V2200) or 240MHz (V2250) CPUs possible? Or do they even require a new backplane and memory?

I went through a v2200-> v2600 and it required backplane/memory/CPU's I don't know if I can give you better suggestions...
