I recently had to shutdown my system due to a scheduled power-outage. When I brought the system back up, I noticed that the following service failed:
Configuring LAN Services...
Subsequently, I can no longer get to my system via the LAN console. I checked the settings in GSP and they are correct, but I didn't find an entry for the NIC in SAM... Could this be a hardware failure, or am I missing something in the configuration? I'm perplexed because all was well until the shutdown...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Jeddel

Solution
You had some patches scheduled to configure after boot that didn't configure properly.
swverify \*
You may need to swremove the patches.
You may be able to:
swconfigure \*
A boot may be required.

Re: Web Console stopped working...
Thanks!
I did find some issues... So I take it from your response that the error at startup and the LAN Console not working are separate issues.
So my questions are:
1) Should the LAN Console show up in SAM? All other NIC's appear there, except this one.
2) I verified configuration on GSP, but I do not have an "SO" menu option... what does that mean?
3) Would re-configuring the LAN Console resolve the issue? If so, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks!
