Aruba 2620 24 Ports: Regain Acess, Password and Username

Hello, can someone help me to solve this problem:

I have a Switch Aruba2620 and few days ago i have created a password for it, in manual that a i read was writen that username is optional so then i only input a new password on switch and exit for test, the switch shows me a username and password field, and now i don┬┤t have more acess.

Observation: i need the acess most soon as possible,i can┬┤t have physical acess to press the clear button or console acess, can┬┤t find suport for password recovery on HPE, i write on memory before exit and i can┬┤t reset to factory.

Have you tried to connect without providing a username (so username is blank) or, instead, connecting by using the manager username with the console password you modified? ...the Switch has manager and operator as default usernames and I suspect you changed/initialized the password for manager user or, eventually, for both manager and operator.

yes, I tried without a username and I just created an operator password, the switch had no password or username, it already entered the manager mode.

Re: Aruba 2620 24 Ports: Regain Acess, Password and Username

If you created the password when you were the operator (username = operator) then this should mean that you created the operator's password...so if you connect as operator to the switch and provide the password you created it should let you go in...otherwise try with manager as username (but, again, there are 3 possibile scenarios: you created the password for manager, for operator or for both...so you should be able to reconnect using manager/password or operator/password). Clearly you must be 100% sure about the password (or passwords) you did input.
