Re: HP J9850A Switch 5406Rzl2 reset password without deleting configuration
Hi! have a look here (HP 5400zl and HPE/Aruba 5400R zl2 supports the same Clear Password mechanism <- check with the show front-panel-security CLI command) and here.
P.S. I strongly suggest you to update your current running firmware version (KB.16.01.007 published in June 2016) as soon as possible. Check here and search for "5400R zl2"...select your switch...then you will able to find all current available software releases with their latest builds (among them, currently are actively developed the KB.16.10, KB.16.09 and KB.16.08 plus the Maintenance KB.16.02).
For the Community Manager @Parvez_AL: this entire thread should be moved to the HPE Community - Networking (Aruba & ProVision) section. Thanks.

Re: HP J9850A Switch 5406Rzl2 reset password without deleting configuration
Hi
Thanks for the update
Apart from clear button is there any other commands or steps to remove the password without effecting the configuration in the switch
Regards
