HP Switch 5406Rzl2
I am tasked to update some Aruba 5406Rzl2 switches which are currently running on 16.02.0013
On the download page I can see that the latest firmware related to 16.02.xx is 16.02.0028 , however there are others higher firwmare revisions such as 16.03.xx 16.04.xx up to 16.10.xx. Are these upgrades or simple differnt revisions.

Re: HP Switch 5406Rzl2
Hello,
These are the branches of 16 series. like 16.02, 16.03....
If they releases new branch then they covers previous version fixes.
You can upgrade to 16.02 or so but the boot rom should be on minimum supported version.
Please go through upgrade restrictions and guidelines from release notes.
What is the device product number 'JXXXXX'?
Thanks!

Re: HP Switch 5406Rzl2
Hi @Scolaro ArubaOS-Switch (as HP ProVision) software branches for you KB platform (the Aruba 5400R zl2 Switch series) are - correctly: were - many (KB.16.02, KB.16.03, KB.16.04 KB.16.05, KB.16.05, KB.16.06, KB.16.07, KB.16.08, KB.16.09, KB.16.10,...) because HPE Aruba introduces new features on each new Software Branch (so feature of KB.16.10 can't be exactly found on KB.16.05, as example) but it should be said that only three (or four considering some specific Software Branches historically called "Maintenance") are concurrently and currently developed (say KB.16.02, KB.16.08, KB.16.09 and latest KB.16.10)...so it's a matter of understanding if you want a Switch on the cutting-egde with the KB.16.10 (with enhanced risk of new bugs due to new features) because you need that features OR if you want to stay on the very safe side without new feature with, say, an lower (but still developed! pay attention indeed that some Software Branches are de-facto dead ends) Software Branch, such as the KB.16.02 (note the KB.16.02.0028 is the only one of the other older KB.16.nn Software Branches which was latest released during late 2019).
I'm not an HPE Employee
