HPE OneView infrastructure management solution
HPE OneView software connects into your HPE server, storage and networking infrastructure for a single view of your IT environment, providing an easy way to dynamically manage all of your resources from one central interface
In the video below, I walk you through HPE OneView, an infrastructure management solution that monitors and manages a number of products across the HPE portfolio and is a key component of the HPE Synergy platform.
How HPE OneView works
HPE OneView monitors and manages your infrastructure, enabling you to drive consistency throughout your entire HPE environment - across compute resources such as HPE blades and DL servers, storage systems like 3PAR and Nimble storage, and your networking connections, i.e. Virtual Connect and FlexFabric technologies. It can also connect into a range of third-party vendor solutions and software.
Software-Defined Everything
OneView works by creating a software-defined profile for everything in your environment, whether thatโs a server, a storage volume or a network connection. These โprofilesโ can then be aggregated together into templates which can be applied to new compute, storage or networking resources to deploy systems quickly and to drive increased operational consistency across your IT.
Automate your IT
Profiles and templates within OneView not only allow you to automate the deployment of infrastructure resources by using a template to deploy multiple new instances, but changes can also be automated too. When you make changes to a template centrally, you can push out the new template configuration to all deployed profiles in your environment.
Efficient management
OneView also lets you interact with a number of third-party vendor solutions through a single Rest API, giving you one central management tool instead of a separate management interface for your servers, storage, and networking.
Visibility
Achieve greater visibility across your IT landscape with OneViewโs Global Search function which allows you to search across your infrastructure, making it easier to quickly diagnose and resolve problems. Meanwhile, the Activity Log functionality lets you see all changes that have been made to templates, profiles, server configurations and more.
Driver greater efficiency and consistency with a single view of your infrastructure with HPE OneView.
