backup details
can any one provide me detail command used to backup is taken of jfs file system

To make an online backup of a mounted JFS, the logical volume that the file system resides on and the logical volume that its log resides on must be mirrored, because the file writes are asynchronous, the split-off copy might not contain all data that was written immediately before the split.
If any modifications is done after the split begins that might not be present in the backup copy. So its adviced that file system activity be minimal while the split is taking place.
My answer is related to ONLINE BACKUP of JFS FS --
Are you looking for commands for taking JFS FS backup, Mention the OS (HPUX, AIX, LINUX etc) So our ITRC members will provide you more information..
