Re: brocade switch HPE blade port showing No_signal please advice
Hello Ramesh,
Generally, the status indicates:
No_SigDet : No signal detected; displays when a quad small form-factor pluggables (QSFPs) is installed without cables). When the QSFP optical module is plugged in without wiring, it indicates that no signal is detected.
In this case, as there are no cable connections, it could indicate a communication issue. It is preferable to capture supportsave logs and get a support case logged with HPE for further diagnosis.
Meanwhile, and if possible, try the following:
- Persistently disable and then enable the port: "portcfgpersistentdisable 5" followed by "portcfgpersistentenable 5"
- If the issue remains, reseat the server in Slot 5. Check if the server works fine when inserted in a different slot
- Reseat the switch.
