Please Help CDE login error
I tried to login HP-UX 11.23 server. I got the error message:
"The authentication file ~/.ICEauthority could not be created. If files ~/.ICEauthority-c and ~/.ICEauthority-l exist, they must be removed before your session can be started."
I don't see these files in my home directory in order to remove them.
Please tell me what I need to do in order to login.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Please Help CDE login error
Did you check with "ls -la"?
Check the ownership of files and directoy and the default home directory in /etc/passwd.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Please Help CDE login error
Thanks Torsten for quick reply.
Yes, I did check my home directory with command "ls -al", /etc/passwd file is OK.
