Querying san appliance using SNMP
We are using a Windows based san appliance
for managing a couple of EVA4000 systems.
I would like to query SNMP variables from the
CPQHSV200V6-MIB, but I am not sure how to do this. On the standard SNMP port runs the Windows
Microsoft SNMP Service.
Does HP StorageWorks use its own SNMP daemon
which runs on another port ?
All insights welcomed.
Tx,
Marc.

Re: Querying san appliance using SNMP
Hi Marc,
did you looked in to what HP-SIM can offer you ? It integrates the HP storage products also.
There are several utilities on the market that allow SNMP get/walk the tree/query just do a search on the web i.e. SNMPtools.exe or http://www.net-snmp.org/ to name a few but there are many out there.

Re: Querying san appliance using SNMP
Yes , but I want to 'walk the MIB myself' I just need to know how to access it.
Standard port seems to be used by MS$ SNMP (?).
Marc.
