Virtualisation: Guest clustering using FC/Shared SAS?
The desired setup:
Blade servers connected via SAS switches to a Shared SAS SAN.
Servers configured as Virtual Machine Hosts. (The physical machines clustered so the guests can live migrate though this isn't important to the problem at hand)
The Virtual machine Guests need to support clustering!
According to microsoft only iSCSI is supported in VMGuest clustering. Has anyone been able to get a FC/Shared SAS solution to work for VMGuest clustering? Probably not in Hyper-V given it's not supported, but what about VMWare?

Re: Virtualisation: Guest clustering using FC/Shared SAS?
if it is a sas disk array via FC cards Polyserve for Windows will cluster any FC disk array disks and create a cluster file system that is accessable from any node in the cluster. (it also clusters SQL databases and file shares).
Version 4.0 supports windows 2008 and has some features specifically for Virtual machine hosts.
