Question about VME licensing
Hello, I have a question about licensing. What happens if the license expires? Do the machines shut down? Can you continue working for a stipulated period of time? Can you simply no longer work? Does it just show a warning, like in VMware, and you can keep working normally?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify this doubt that a client has raised with me.

Re: Question about VME licensing
Hello,
Thank you for your query regarding HPE-VM licensing. I would like to clarify what happens if the license expires.
Virtual Machines will not shut down – Any workloads already running will continue to operate without interruption.
No forced stop of services – The hypervisor itself does not power off, and VMs are not automatically suspended or stopped.
Restricted management functions – Certain management operations, such as provisioning new VMs or accessing premium features as adding new datastores, migration etc, may no longer be available.
In summary, an expired license does not disrupt running workloads, but it does impact management capabilities
