OneView 4.10.03-0364293 Remote Support Warranty and Contract

Hi!

in my enviroment there is a report that indicates The warranty or contract on some devices have expired.
In the attacched file of that report i can see:

Serial Number,Device Name,Expiration Date
Not Available,"NAME OF INTERCONNECT", interconnect 1",12 Feb 2016 00:00:00 GMT

where i can see device Serial Number value is Not Available.

I tried to disable Remote Support at the appliance Settings level, then re-enable it, but not worked

Have anyone some explanation or solution for this?

Thanks

Re: OneView 4.10.03-0364293 Remote Support Warranty and Contract

I have already tried the solution mentioned but without success.
Today I investigated and found a solution that does not satisfy me fully:

  • Edit Remote support settings
  • check Manage contract type and support identifier
  • Entering Support agreement (SAID) for device.

Once this has been done, the support information has been updated correctly.

Can anyone explain to me why this anomalous functioning?

Contract information only will be fetched from SAID.

Re: OneView 4.10.03-0364293 Remote Support Warranty and Contract

Hi - the entitlement checks require a SN and PN or contract to verify entitlement. If the interconnect SN is showing no value, I would expect that entitlement is not working since that is not a valid SN for a response. I would look to understand why OneView is not determining the SN of the interconnect.

Re: OneView 4.10.03-0364293 Remote Support Warranty and Contract

HI - the report I mentioned is self-generated once a week by the appliance I noticed that inserting the SAID containing the SN the information on the contract is correctly updated and in the report the VC is no longer indicated as out of maintenance
I don't understand why Oneview does not read the SN
