The LDAP client changed within HPE OneView a number of releases ago, so using this thread isn't really helpful to others. The Display Name, NTSamAccountName, Cononical Name and UPN of an Active Directory account can all be used for the Username field. I just tested this behavior in my lab, and was not able to replicate your issue. In fact, the user account I was testing with had a null Display Name value in AD Users and Computers MMC console. I set it to "FirstName LastName" (e.g. Chris Lynch), which is completely different than the username (which is FirstLetterLastName, eg. CLynch). I would advise you to open a support case so we can look at your appliance and AD configuration.
