Primera A650 Upgrade path
Hi
I'm trying to colate an upgrade sequence for a Primera A650 array currently on version 4.5.7 to the latest version of 4.6.1
I can't see it mentioned in the release notes how many hops this would consist of? I guess the array itself will restrict the upgrades to only those allowable versions it needs to transition through, but I wanted to understand and document the full upgrade path the array will need to take ahead of any upgrade activities.
Also - is there a forceable downgrade option in the event that we choose to revert to the previuous version as a regression procedure?
many thanks

Re: Primera A650 Upgrade path
Hello,
the storage handles automatically if a stage between is needed.
If you want to know, then you can find the information in the Excel Table inside SPOCK:
Search for: HPE Primera Update Matrix

Re: Primera A650 Upgrade path
Perfect thanks
I assume there is no downgrade capability with Primera? as the matrix shows 'NS' for any version lower than the initial version. I was looking for a regression option for Primera updates - not in case the upgrade fails (as the array will handle reverting back), but should the upgrade succeed and we then notice some other weirdness, such as performance degradation or host issues.
