Hey all,
I'm a beginner, and I got a brand-new HPE DL380 ProLiant Gen10 to configure. I was following the instructions from the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server User Guide
I upgraded the firmware and BIOS.
Later I was trying to access Intelligence Provisioning from POST by pressing F10. But I not able to access that and was redirected to the below screen. (NB. I haven't even installed the OS)
When I checked the firmware options of Intelligence Provisioning (IP) I got 'IP unavailable ' status.
I tried to download the last stable version of IP from here.
I turned the 3.80 version to a flash drive and installed it. But the above 'IP unavailable ' status remains the same.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Intelligence Provisioning error. Can't Install IP.
Hi @Althaf_ ,
Intelligent Provisioning is already embedded on your server. The Intelligent Provisioning recovery media is only needed when you would like to manually install the software onto a Gen10 or Gen10 Plus server.
Please refer to this guide for more information about Intelligent Provisioning.

Re: Intelligence Provisioning error. Can't Install IP.
Hello,
We believe the IP may be disabled in the BIOS. Please try re-enabling it by following the steps in the link below and check again.
Cheers.....

SolutionThe approach is correct, But the tools I used to mount the downloaded ISO file were wrong. I was using a popular tool called 'rufus' to mount the ISO to my flash drive.
Instead, you should use, their official tool 'USB Key utility'
The resolution steps are given below:
- Download the ISO image file for the latest Intelligent Provisioning recovery media by clicking Download from the Intelligent Provisioning website (https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&softwareId=MTX_0e528dc701d14e04864ba71f27).NOTE:The following servers and Intelligent Provisioning versions are supported:
- Gen8 supports Intelligent Provisioning 1.x.
- Gen9 supports Intelligent Provisioning 2.x.
- Gen10 supports Intelligent Provisioning 3.x.
- Gen10 Plus supports Intelligent Provisioning from 3.40.
- Gen11 supports Intelligent Provisioning from 4.x
- To download the ISO image file, complete the onscreen instructions.
- Mount the ISO file in one of the following ways:
- Using iLO virtual media.NOTE: When using iLO virtual media, the installation time depends on the network condition.
- Burn the Intelligent Provisioning recovery media ISO file to a DVD and place it in the CD/DVD drive of the server.
- Copy the recovery media to a USB key (See section Using the USB Key Utility for more information).
- To power up the server, press ON.
- To display the boot menu, press F11 during server POST.
- Select CD/DVD to boot from the mounted ISO.
- To update/reinstall Intelligent Provisioning, select the interactive method. The server continues booting from the Intelligent Provisioning recovery media.
- Select Reinstall Intelligent Provisioning when the window opens.
- After the installation completes, reboot the server by pressing F10.
Let me know if this answer is useful.
