JF377AAE IMC installation failed on 64 bit OS
I have
Windows 2008 64 bit server with service pack2.
memory 8GB
IMC version:- HP IMC Standard Edition Software Platform with 100-node E-LTU (JF377AAE)
I am trying to install imc with embeded database but failed to do so.
Does winodws 64 bit version support embeded database.

Re: JF377AAE IMC installation failed on 64 bit OS
It is definitely supported, and I have this running in my lab.
There is an issue that sometimes occurs where the installation process thinks some readme-type files are missing, and it aborts. Read the error messages and logs that you get from the installation, looking for "ERROR" lines - you should see which files you need to manually copy around.
This doesn't always seem to happen - I'm not sure what causes this problem. Sometimes it installs fine. This only seems to be an installation issue though. Once things are running, it's fine.
Make sure that you upgrade to SP1 immediately after installing the base 5.1 version though - there are many improvements.

Re: JF377AAE IMC installation failed on 64 bit OS
Reduce UAC (User Access Control) to "none" and reboot. Then try the install again.
I think its says that you need to do this in the release notes and it was necessary for me on Windows 2008 R2.
