If you dont know what you have bought, there I cant help you. If its registred and all it will probably show on my.procurve.com

You can assign a license to another switch (has to be the same series).

The steps are documented at my.procurve.com; bottom-line is that you first have to remove the license from the switch, this generates a code that you can use to release the license on my.procurve.com. Then you can reassign the license to the other switch.

To the question about VRRP on the 5300 series:

instead of VRRP, they have XRRP. They are roughly the same in functionality, but they are not compatible.
