Installation problems with IRS Standard

Hello. I have tried to install the IRSS on a client but when I have finished it, i have found some issues:
- First of all, how can i include on IRSS the vmware systems? I mean, What do I need to install on the vmware hosts?
- In other hand, I have tested with sucess the connectivity between EVA 4100 and IRSS, but when I have done a "real" test, unplugging a power source, in the first try the alarm arrived ten minutes after and the second try doesnt arrive... what could be happen? The Command view is the 7.00.00.070606.
- Finally our client has a DL140G3, that is not supported but i'm looking for his psp and smh, where could I find it?
Thanks a lot

Re: Installation problems with IRS Standard

For VMware you will need to install the correct IM agent on the host server not the guest systems.

For your EVA issues your second event may be ingored by a flood suppression filter. I believe the rules are to only report an incident once in 24 hours. You may want to take a look at the WEBES.X.log during the time you test this for more details. Try sending a "wccproxy test" from the SMA. It should be picked up everytime

For the DL140G3 ther are no IM agents for these server so they can not be monitored. IM agent were introduced for the 1x series when the G6 were released

Re: Installation problems with IRS Standard

On my test box it located at: C:\Program Files\HP\svctools\specific\Webes\logs

You might want to search for "specific" to find the path.

As far as CV and the version I would suggest you upgrade to 8.x or 9.x. I have seen issues with the stability with SMI-S in the 7.x release
