Re: Errors during installation with DVD on SAS disk and RX3600 system

Ctrl[28] LSI Logic SAS Controller
Ctrl[5E] HP IR Volume HP01

You have 1 hardware mirror and 2 individual disks in this system.

Maybe the problem is related to firmware versions, need to check this.

Did you try the "scan again" button from the installer window?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Errors during installation with DVD on SAS disk and RX3600 system

Hi Torsten

Actually this seems to be a known problem on 11iv3 i guess since we find the same log on all the servers that we install, i dont think it is realted to the particular h/w.

yes, regarding the firmware, our servers are a bit old 1-2 years old and this could be one issue.

yes the FW is bit old for servers (not really 1-2 years :-)).

You must also consider the FW of the SAS HBA as well

The messages is given by Ignite-UX so I would verify if it is IG-UX version related. I doubt though.

I would first update the SAS HBA firmware as well as the system firmware as they seems pretty old.
