HP rx7640 CPU Degraded Message

Hi:
I have this system and at the startup it shows the CPU Degarded Message in system log. Why is this? and is there anyway to tacke it down?

I don't know about your OS, but you can use the MP:CM>ps command first to check the status of the CPU. In case of doubt, open a HW call at HP.

The CPU status looks good in MP>CM>ps. I just don't know what is causing this message to appear?

Without getting more details (exact message, OS etc) I can only say: I don't know it too.

I am using Windows XP ver. 2002 SP-2 on my control computer and monitoring through HP HyperTerminal. Console has EPI Unix type software. I am not that familiar with it.

Your PCs software doesn't matter.
How about the server?

Anyway, to shorten this, I would strongly recommend to call HP service.

This message is telling you that processor 0 on cell 1 is not responding and may be de-configured.

SFW 0,1,4 *5 a380014f14e0005d 0000000000000000 FW_INSTALLED_CPU_DEGRADED

The problem is being reported by processor 4 on cell 1.

In any event you will need to contact your service provider to have this processor replaced.
