5400 Router not letting me use the router id as a next hop?
I have a remote router that's attached via two 10G Wavelenghts.
10.0.0.4/30
10.0.0.8/30
It's advertising it's paths attached to the remote router via ospf like this..
10.30.0.0/16 10.0.0.6 1011 ospf External2 0 110 10.30.0.0/16 10.0.0.10 1010 ospf External2 0 110
Which works fine for the routes directly attached but..
i'm also trying to use this router as an edge internet router. How do I setup this router to use the active path? I tried creating a route,
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.20.0.1
which is the router id of the remote router.
but when i made this route, it woudln't show up in show ip route and trying to ping an internet source returned destination net unreachable.
I tried advertising the interface that the internet is physically coming in but that just adtertised the /30 between us and the isp.
