INstallation of java 1.4.2 on HP linux 11.11

I am new to linux and please let me know the steps to install java 1.4.2 on HP linux 11.11

There is no such thing as "HP linux 11.11".

HP-UX is not Linux.

HP-UX and Linux both are Posix-compliant Unix-style operating systems, so they are somewhat similar, but *not* identical. Please don't confuse them.

You'll probably want the latest patch level of Java 1.4.2, so here's a direct link to version 1.4.2.26:

For HP-UX 11.11, you'll want the PA-RISC version. The download is in the form of a .depot file, which should be installed using swinstall, the standard HP-UX software installation tool.
