Re: Reset all settings and update firmware on E-MSM410 Access Point
Hi,
The MSM410 uses the same factory reset procedure as the other MSM APs.
Page 125
"To reset the AP to factory defaults, press the button until the status lights blink three times, then release. Following a reset to factory defaults, the AP starts up in controlled mode with a an
option to switch it to autonomous mode. "
Of course there is also reset menu in the web GUI, see next page.
The AP MSM410 supports also autonomous mode. With the factory settings you will be able to access the web GUI of AP on 192.168.1.1 /24 (provided there is no DHCP server and controller in the VLAN).
You will see then the button "Switch to autonomous mode"
Once this is done you will have access to all features and can update the AP via a similar menu as the controller. Page 118 of the same guide which describes all configuration options of autonomous mode.
