Re: disk group is quarantined
Hi Raihan,
As you would be already aware RAID 5 can sustain only single hard drive failure.
Disk group can report different status ex: FTOL , Critical , QTOF
FTOL (fault tolerant and online) indicates healthy disk group.
Critical indicates one more drive failure could cause disk group to fail.
In RAID 5 critical status is reported when one drive in the disk group has failed.
I see that one drive failed and it was replaced and reconstruction started.
Please confirm whether the disk group was in quarantine state even before replacing the faulty disk.
Did the disk group move to quarantine state during rebuilding ?
Are the 3 disks reporting degraded state due to single path errors or multiple errors in events?
Its quite difficult to assist with quarantine disk group issues without reviewing logs
I would suggest logging an HPE support case and get the logs reviewed so that they could share the correct steps to resolve the issue.
I understand that unit might be out of warranty.
I would still suggest logging a case and check for options.
