Re: How do i make the SAN show on my Servers
Hi,
please provide more information. What Storage Array, what OS, what sort of SAN switches to you have?
Note that you normally cannot present the same SAN unit (LUN) to 2 servers at the same time, unless they are both in a cluster (and even then only one machine is actually accessing the disk at any particular time)
Regards,
Stephen

Re: How do i make the SAN show on my Servers
Both servers are win2k SP4 servers. we use a HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/16-EL with one is currently connect to the MSA1000 array. on the second server I see the array on the scsi configuration tool.

Re: How do i make the SAN show on my Servers
Anthony:
There are two things to look at here.
1st: Check your zoning (or check in ACU to see if the MSA can see the WWID of the first host) to make sure the host is zoned so that it can see the MSA. This assumes that you have zoning configured.
2nd: You might not have any logical drives presented to the first host, assuming SSP is enabled.
To check the zoning on the switch, telnet to it or web browse to it. In a telnet session, run zoneshow and switchshow. Capture the text and post it here if need be. In the web gui, click the admin button on the switch, log in and click the "View Report" button. Save the html doc and post it here.
In ACU on the second server, click Selectie Storage Presentation and check to see if your Logical Unit(s) is/are presented to the first host. Grab a screenshot too and post it here.
Aside from all this, you could potentially need updated drivers, but it's not likely as it sounds as if your just building these systems now.
