HPE MSA 2050

Hi,

I am looking for a step-by-step guide that describes: How to Add Windows Server (2016 or 2019) Hosts on HPE MSA 2050.
Configuration required on MSA and Windows Server (step by step).

I am lost with following guides, I just need specific information above: (so please do not suggest the same articles again).

Re: HPE MSA 2050

Hello,

Please understand it is hard to provide you with a step by step instuction guide as we do not know your exact requirements or configuration. For example, cluster or shared storage? Database use or file share?

We do have some general guides which may help. Most of the links you provided are installation guides which tell you how to get the hardware in the rack and running. Please try the following:

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-a00038738en_us

Also be sure to install the MPIO and VDS Hardware Provider (if appropriate to your environment) https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00022193en_us

If you wish to check your firmware on your system you can now do so easily by checking this link: www.hpe.com/storage/msafirmware

Also, to check the overall health of your system and any available firmware versions you can use our new MSA Health Check Tool at the following link: www.hpe.com/storage/MSAHealthCheck

Download your MSA Log File from your MSA array
Upload the MSA Log File into the MSA Health Check website
Review the results by clicking through the tabs and saving the PDF report
Links to array, enclosure, and drive firmware are provided for esay access

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Shawn
