Latest MSA Drive Firmware
On www.hpe.com/storage/MSADriveFirmware you can find the latest firmware version for MSA drives.
We have just updated this matrix removing some columns that are not needed. You may also notice a superscript on some firmware version strings. The superscript marks firmware versions that are the initial release and not available for download from the HPE Support Center, www.hpe.com/support/hpesc
The best way to find the latest drive firmware flash component on the HPE Support Center (once there) is to search for "MSA" and the model number of the drive. For example search on "MSA MM1000FBFVR". Looking through the result set you will find the latest firmware flash smart component for this model number.
Stay tuned, we are working to improve locating the lastest MSA drive firmware versions.
Cheers!

Re: Latest MSA Drive Firmware
Hi Todd,
Could you share the model# of the disk and the link to the firmware file you used?
If the .fla file is not available for the model you are trying to update ( As they are being discontinued ), you would need to run the smart component, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
Do not extract the firmware file and load the .fw or any other files to the SMU.

Rakesh S

Hi Todd,
Run the smart component.
Click on install and enter the IP address of one of the controllers and the login credentials.
Click on Install to update the disk drive.
