MSA 1500cs Firmware Upgrade Options without the SAN utility

I'm looking to upgrade the firmware on my MSA 1500cs with the SATA MSA 20 shelf. Current version on the MSA 1500cs is 4.98b401.

The problem I have is that the SAN utility does not seem to support the HBA I'm using (Emulex LP-101-E). What other upgrade options are available? Could I do this through the CLI?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'm at a supported version to do the CLI upgrade.

However, I went through all the files and ISO's and can't seem to locate the appropriate BIN files. Where are they located?

Sorry, I'm wrong. There is no separate .bin in latest MSA firmware utility :-0

Yeah, I've searched the ISO's and the firmware upgrade utility zip for BIN files and can't locate the appropriate files.

I have a dim memory that I was once looking on an older .ISO for the MSA1000. I beleive the firmware file is embedded in another file (.tar, .tgz ?) in the ISO image.

Here's what I've found, on the Support CD ISO in the agents folder for the Windows platform there is a CPxxxxx.exe file. In the file are a few BIN files but I don't know if these are the ones:

cqmghost.bin
cqmgnics.bin
cqmgserv.bin
cqmgstor.bin
cqtc1k.bin

HP is making this really difficult. :)
