Certification prerequisite is getting expired

Hi all,

just wondering what happens if you pass a certification which is getting expired soon, but that cert is a prerequisite for another.

For example, HPE0-V14 is being replaced by HPE0-V25, but they are both listed as prerequisite for HPE0-
S59.

Let's say one passes HPE0-V14 and it gets expired in April (as it will be). Can one still move forward and take HPE0-S59 in June, or does one has to first pass HPE0-V25, and only then take HPE0-S59?

To put it bluntly: if v14 will become worthless in terms of progression, then certainly it makes no sense to pass v14 now and I should just immediately go to v25?

Are there other special reasons for why it's better to move to v25 immediately? I'm new to HP certifications, so I'm not sure how it all works.

Thanks for the assistance!

Kind regards,

chypsa

Re: Certification prerequisite is getting expired

Hi all,

I have received notice from HPE support.

It is recommended to push for a newer version (HPE0-v25 in this case) and then move on to HPE0-S59.

If I were to complete v14 and it expired prior to taking S59, I would have to take v25 first, anyway.

Hope this info is useful to someone.

Bye,
