can i use a LVD controller on a D4927A backplate

Im thinking of upgrading my Netraid SE controller to a LVD, but i want to keep my disks(LVD) and backplate (NetserverLH Pro)
Is it possible or is the backplates SE terminated or something

Yes, the backplane is terminated and uses an SE bus. THe drive need to support an SE bus. We have upgraded this Hot Swap cage to U320 successfully though. It is not exactly a totally clean installation, but it can provide you with 5 U320 hot swap bays.

so i can use a LVD card and drives
but i get UW speeds ?
or i need to change the backplane to get
u2 or faster speed
