Did you say Wi-Fi 7 that delivers more?

As technology advances, use cases and behavior change too. Take the phone as an example. As technology moved from landlines that physically tied us to where we could make and take calls to mobile phones that freed us to make calls from anywhere, our work experience and daily life significantly changed. Adding a camera to a device that we keep in our pocket and take everywhere makes total sense now. Our phones have become valuable tools that go way beyond a voice call, making the camera a key determining factor in purchase decisions. The ubiquitous wireless access point has a similar story.

With access points deployed throughout corporate buildings, shopping malls, warehouses, stadiums, parking lots, schools, and more, they offer a unique ability to deliver more than just fast Wi-Fi. HPE Aruba Networking’s approach has been bring more value to businesses with APs that not only support the latest 802.11 standard but do ‘more’ to deliver business-critical mobility, enhance security, bolster IoT connectivity, and make location-based services come to life. We’ve added more value with each wireless generation and our latest Wi-Fi 7 APs continue this innovation.

Our Wi-Fi 7 portfolio just got bigger with the HPE Aruba Networking 750 Series Campus Access Point – it’s our new flagship Wi-Fi 7 AP that’s ideal for the most demanding users and applications. It delivers up to 18.7 Gbps maximum triband aggregate data rate and goes beyond the Wi-Fi 7 standard to maximize 6 GHz capacity by up to 30%, connect 2 times the IoT devices, strengthen security across wired and wireless, and enable highly accurate location aware capabilities.

Taking full advantage of the 6 GHz band with Wi-Fi 7

The new Wi-Fi 7 standard (802.11be) extends the capabilities of Wi-Fi 6E access points and adds wide 320 MHz bandwidth channels, multilink operation (MLO) for channel aggregation across different bands and failover, and 4096 QAM (4K QAM) for higher peak data rates. And like Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7 takes advantage of the 6 GHz band which more than doubles the wireless spectrum capacity.

Taking full advantage of both the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands poses some interference challenges. However, the 750 Series APs as well as the recently introduced HPE Aruba 730 Series use patented ultra tri-band filtering (UTB)originally developed for the 650 Series APs and unique to HPE Aruba Networking—to enable simultaneous use of the upper 5 GHz and lower 6 GHz channels without causing interference. This capability delivers up to 30% more channels and is especially critical in certain geographies where the 6 GHz band is restricted. Now organizations don’t have to choose the top of 5 GHz or the bottom of 6 GHz—they can use both.

750 Series Wi-Fi 7 access point highlights

  • HPE Networking 750 Series Campus APsHPE Networking 750 Series Campus APsFlagship performance – Three 4x4 MIMO radios provide tri-band coverage across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz to deliver 18.7 Gbps maximum tri-band aggregate data rate. Capable of up to 28.8 Gbps maximum aggregate data rate using optional dual 5 GHz and 6 GHz radio modes (supported in future software release).
  • Dual 10 Gbps Ethernet ports to eliminate coverage gaps, provide greater resiliency, and deliver fast, secure connectivity.
  • Antenna flexibility - Choice of either internal antenna models or external antenna models that make these APs a great fit for a variety of verticals and physical environments.
  • Enhanced wireless security - Adding to an extensive list of wireless security features, we are bringing MACsec (coming in future software release), an Ethernet industry security protocol to wireless—with new link level encryption capabilities, extending wired data protection to the AP.
  • Precision location services - Building upon the 6xx Series APs’ embedded GNSS (GPS), we added a new barometric sensor that provides the third dimension of height to location information— enabling the 750 Series APs to determine floor level and automatically display AP location within the new HPE Aruba Networking Central Floor Plan map in 3D. The 750 Series also uses the latest location standard, 802.11az, to deliver sub-1 meter accuracy compared to ~2-meter accuracy of previous standards.
  • Sustainability and energy savings - AI-powered, dynamic power save mode identifies the AP duty cycle to recommend which APs can be powered down, without compromising the required connectivity.

So, if your wireless network is preparing to support hybrid workplaces, growing numbers of IoT devices, and rising user expectations, take a look at our portfolio of access points. Discover how AI-powered RF optimization, rich intelligence, and smart management options via cloud or on-premises will boost IT, user, and IoT experiences with enterprise Wi-Fi that’s intelligent, fast, and secure. The HPE Aruba Networking portfolio of indoor, outdoor, ruggedized, and remote Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 access points cover all sorts of use cases and price points and are Wi-Fi CERTIFIED and backed by a limited lifetime guarantee.
