A question about Adobe reader
I've installed Acrobat reader on Itanium server:rx2600.And I've installed all the required software such as GTK 2.6 on it
But I can't run Acro read it output the following errors:
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library: libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
ARIES32: Core file for PA32 application saved to /opt/gtk2.6/lib/core.acroread
Abort(coredump)
Then I looked up the adobe web and found that accord to them it only can run on PA-Risc .
Is that true?
Please help me

Re: A question about Adobe reader
where did you get your GTK download from:
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/333102.html
referenced by:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrsystemreqs.html#708hp
But no mention of Itanium !

Re: A question about Adobe reader
maybe you could use Adobe Reader 7.0 for LINUX?
I can imagine that this requirements are nearest to Itanium server.

Re: A question about Adobe reader
You need to actually install the PA-RISC version of GTK for this to work. The Aries translator will make the PA-RISC binaries work on the IA box, but you need to give it all the required PA-RISC libraries to which the binary was linked
