BUS error
Hi,
I am unable to telnet to a HP UX server . The connect get lost. I have a session which is connected but its logded n as a normail user. When trying to su to root , it gives me bus error.
Any suggestions pls

Check for inetd services running properly and configured to accept confnnection from the system and make sure /vAr/adm/inetd.sec file configured properly .Check the su binary for cksum

Hi,
have you more informations about this ?
have you a core file created or not ?
if yes , look it by strings core or files core
Try also dmesg for detect specific errors and look in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
probably a hard problem , perhaps need to open an inceident to HP Support

There was no enough memory and the server was rebboted and its OK now
