C7497B DDS4 PROBLEM
HI,
I have a problem with a DDS4 C7197B.
I replace my unit DDS4 C7197A on my hpux rp2470 by a unit DDS4 C7197B.
The problems is, it is not recognized by the system hpux 11.11, i tried with 2 units Tapes DDS 4 C7197B and the 2 units are not reconized. But when i connect a DDS3 Unit, this is recognize.
I check the dip swicht on my DDS4 C7197A and C7197B, this is ok.
What is the problem?
Thanks

Re: C7497B DDS4 PROBLEM
You might try installing the latest stape patch for 11.11, PHKL_33425. Despite the similar model numbers these are quite different drives.

Re: C7497B DDS4 PROBLEM
C7497B has seen this problem occassionally.
A fix for it can be for HP hardware to add a term power cable to the device.
