Can't login to the CDE enviroment
Hi,
I have an old B180L I am reguired to keep going. It has 10.2 on it. When the machine boots up it goes all the way to the CDE logi n screen. When I try to log in, I get this error message after a bit. "Unable to initialize or connect to the desktop messaging system check your $home/.dt/errorlog for more info.
I have attached that file.
It says ToolTalk is not installed or installed incorrrectly. This machine has run for years with no issues It is installed, as it all worked fine beofre but maybe now corrupted. This issue started after a power outage.
I also ran a dr_dt and get one error could not contact host "myhostname"
Any help in what to do to fix this or what to look at whould be greatly appreociated. I am not a system Admin by trade but find myself have to support that function on this machine.
Thanks,
Phil
