Changing Password using Perl

I modified the changepass.cgi perl program used with "usermin" web interface to allow users to change passwords over web. Passwords are stored in a Trusted System Protected Password Database (not in /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow) on a HP running HP-UX 11i. I can retreive values okay but cannot commit changes.

Anyone familiar with perl or usermin/webmin have any ideas????

Not familiar with trusted systems, nor with 11i, but I bet you will get a reasonable answer on www.perlmonks.org
